Where in the world is Courtney? {and that pizza nonsense}

After a very long travel day (I left home at 8:30am, arrived at my desitnation at the equivalent of 3 am...), I feel like I'm a character in "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" (Remember that game? I loved it!) A 12 hour flight, currency change, language switches. The joys of travel. I'm just glad I don't have to look up the capital. (you'll follow that reference if you played Carmen San Diego...)

I woke up after a much needed very long sleep to these sights. Should give you a clue to where I am.

Full sun on a glorious fall tree
The last of the summer tomato crop. Yes it is mid-November. And the plant probably would have kept going if not for frost the past couple of nights (or so I'm told). I see green salsa in our future :)

I was greeted by some very hairy relatives. There's nothing like a tail wag and slobbery kisses to welcome you.

My big plans for the day are to sneak away from work for Mexican food.

And spend an inordinate amount of time with the people that I've missed so dearly over the past 4 months.

It feels good to be back.

PS. It goes without saying that I think this is ridiculous. Pizza is not a vegetable. End of story. Just like potatoes. Gah. Plenty has already been written on the subject. Read here for a good summary of links.
