Hello Normal!

I feel like I'm coming back to life. Or I should clarify, a more normal life.

I started a new job a few weeks ago, which is why its been so quiet around here, and I'm loving it! And although the work is interesting and new, my favorite part of this new job is my schedule. A regular 9-5.

You see, working from home, I discovered was not really my gig. I may have been able to pull it off among the familiar surroundings of CA, but here in Brussels it was not the best situation for me. Too isolated, too lonely, too erratic. I would be up until 11pm on the phone with colleagues in CA, and never felt that I could really get away from work since it was in the room next door.

So I made a change, and I must say it has done wonders. I'm meeting new people and exploring the city more than I ever have. Hello public transport! (minus that whole transit strike last week, its been fairly smooth sailing on the bus and tram). I love my predictable schedule and its great to have my evenings to fill as I wish. Like with French classes.

I am even to the point where I can say (and mean) that I like it here in Brussels.  Confusing French and all.

Sure there's a chance that in a few months I'll be bored of the routine, but for now it's just what I need.

I promise to stop by a bit more often now that life is settling down into normalcy. Here's a little teaser of whats to come:

Guesses???

My first guess was that you were going to take up painting in Paris! But then I saw Katy's comment and realized she would know the answer. :)
